NEW WELSH WRITING AWARDS 2018 #newwelshawards WINNER ANNOUNCED

The New Welsh Writing Awards 2018, run by New Welsh Review in association with Aberystwyth University, is for an essay collection. The winner of the New Welsh Writing Awards 2018 is Ed Garland for ‘Fiction as a Hearing Aid’. Alex Diggins was placed second with ‘Sea Change: An Argument in Six Parts’ and Nicholas Murray was runner-up with ‘Writing & Engagement’. Gwen Davies acted as main judge, with the help of students from Aberystwyth University, and the result was announced at a ceremony at Hay on 29 May 2018.
