Interview with Lisa Blower

Lisa Blower's story 'Johnny Dangerously' presents school life in all its colour and chaos. Lisa talks to Caroline Stockford about the story's setting in 'the backs' (lanes) of working class Staffordshire, her own fiction heroes, the Alans Bennett and Sillitoe, and the impact of radio on this self-confessed 'voice-led' author, who gave up a career as a commercial radio executive to write. Includes a reading from 'Johnny Dangerously' by Glyn Langham.
