Romeo y Julieta

A man and a woman are playing cards.
It is as it should be – in a dimly lit room
on a folding table with a green felt top.
The whole thing looks like it could collapse

at any moment...

Kittie Belltree lives in St Dogmaels, Pembrokeshire, and is studying part time for a PhD in Creative Writing at Aberystwyth University. Her short fiction has been anthologised by Honno, and her poetry has been broadcast on BBC Radio Wales and published in Orbis, The Lunar Attic and Obsessed With Pipework. She is currently working on her first poetry collection.
