Honno’s latest anthology contains fourteen ‘stories of love’: ten have been specially commissioned from some of Wales’ best contemporary women writers, two have appeared in previous Honno collections, and two are commissioned translations of short stories written in Welsh which are published in English here for the first time. It’s an inviting collection which I found myself treating like a luxury box of chocolates. Which one first? What next? Is there one I want to save till last? I naturally enjoyed some of the stories more than others, but the quality is consistent, with nothing to shock or disappoint...
