Letter to Phil Richards, landlord of the Cross House Inn, Laugharne

Just a very small note, at long, long last. I’ve been meaning every week to write, but always something happened: work, or influenza, or too much bitter (and never as good as the Cross bitter either.) But don’t think I haven’t written because I wasn’t thinking about you. I’m longing to get back to Laugharne, and you’ll see my red London face one evening quite soon: about the end of the month.
